A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the very same domain name. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you have a Linux cloud package with us and you want to enable the catch-all feature for a given email mailbox that you’ve got in the account, it will take literally only a single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each and every email address that you have created under any domain registered in your account. You can select one single email address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all email messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button for a second time will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you have active email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notification and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply choose some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be enabled without effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in the account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a small icon handily situated directly next to each one. With just a single click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable the feature using the contextual menu that will show up. If any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will warn you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
