Dot NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the single TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At first, solely third-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to order john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing third-level domains remained working.

Through our company, you can reserve your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to correct the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no special rules on who can buy a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
